The India in 2047 National Case Contest - Business Plan Challenge 2024 is a first of its kind business plan competition for college students which inspires and encourages ideation and entrepreneurship. Students from Colleges across India present their ideas apart from meeting and receiving feedback from experienced industry leaders and seasoned entrepreneurs.
The contest aims to bring together the country's top business, management, technology and accounting students offering them a great opportunity to showcase their business & entrepreneurial skills. Such skills are relevant in the context of emerging business models. We give our participants, the business leaders of tomorrow’s India, the chance to interact with fellow students, cultivate a powerful network, engage with industry experts, and business gurus from various domains.
The written business plan must be submitted electronically in PDF format to the organisers, which will be evaluated by the panel of judges. The Finalists will be selected and announced for their preparation for the pitch presentation in Round 2 – Regional Level.
The Finalists will prepare a 10 minutes pitch for the regional level round in front of judges and live audience in four Regions across India including Delhi-NCR, Pune, Chennai/Bangalore and Kolkata/Bhubaneshwar
The National Finalists will prepare a 10 minutes pitch for the National level round in front of judges and live audience in Chennai.
A printable PDF file. Limit your plan to twelve (12) pages, including a two-page executive summary. The page limit includes the cover page and single table of contents page.
The written plan may include an Appendix with up to four additional pages.
Single-spacing with one-inch margins and 12-point Times New Roman font. This line spacing and font requirement apply to the document's textual content, not to titles and descriptions accompanying pictures, graphs, tables, or worksheets. All pages must be numbered, excluding the cover page.
Must include the title, the team members, the team code (provided on registration) and contact information for each team member. The contact information should consist of an e-mail address and a phone number.
Financial data should be summarized and highlighted in the written plan, supporting details, and spreadsheet information in the Appendix. Startup costs and how the investment will be used, along with income and cash flow statements, are appropriate.
Do a comparison between your company and your competitors (if any).
In Round 1, teams are evaluated based on a written business plan.
Based on the strength of the written plan, finalists will be selected to compete in Round 2.
