ABOUT SHORT STORY CONTEST 2023
JUMPING THE ODDS - Short Story Contest 2023 aims at bringing our compelling short stories from individuals across the globe.
This contest is organized under the INDIA in 2047 mission that is driven by some of best minds of India on a mission to visualize India in 2047. Started in 2022, this mission organizes a series of events, conferences, recognitions, publications and contests. This initiative is organized by ReadWriteIndia Publications.

GENRE
Short stories can be submitted in the following genres
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Stories should be original, previously unpublished works of fiction.
Entries must be in English, typed in 12-point font, double-spaced, and anywhere between 2000- 3500 words.
Stories must be emailed to director@prime5c.com on or before the last date.
The story can be in any genre. The ones named by us are just indicative.
Jury: Entries will be judged anonymously by a panel of judges. The selection will be based on content, character, relevance, and pace. The Jury decisions will be final.
Shortlisting: Shortlisted submissions will be notified by email and/or phone. 10-12 stories will be selected for publication.
Mentoring:
a. All applicants will be eligible to attend a workshop where the contours of short-story writing
gets discussed.
b. All shortlisted candidates will receive mentoring on their story for modifications if any
through an exclusive online workshop. The story credit will stay with the author.
Selection: Selected stories will be published by ReadWriteIndia Productions in both electronic and paperback book version. The due credit will be given to the author as against the story.
Rights: All rights to the stories remain with the author, but the organizers reserve the right to publish winning on their website, online anthology, and/or paperback version.
Certificates: All registered applicants will receive a certificate of participation in a e-version delivered to the registered email id.

- By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by these rules and to the judges' decisions. The decisions of the Jury is final.
